7/16/19: 2019 Washington State Book Award nominees announced

The awards, which will be announced October 12, 2019, honor writers who currently reside in Washington and have lived in the state for at least three years, or those who previously lived here for at least five years.

This is always a fun and fascinating list for us. We usually know at least a few of the nominees, and this year is no different!
On the Biography/Memoir list alone, there are two authors who have been here for events, Sarah Cannon and Paul Souders. Huge congratulations to them, and to all the authors who made the list!

Here is the column in The Seattle Times with the list of all of the nominees.

The aforementioned Biography/Memoir list:
“Guts” by Janet Buttenweiser, of Seattle
“The Shame of Losing” by Sarah Cannon, of Edmonds
“Nothing Good Can Come from This” by Kristi Coulter, of Seattle
“The Seminarian” by Patrick Parr, of Bellevue
“Arctic Solitaire” by Paul Souders, of Seattle
